/api/data/telecom_statistics_quarterly
Ghana's quarterly telecom statistics from the National Communications Authority, Q1 2014 to Q2 2026: 60 indicators covering mobile voice and data subscriptions, voice and SMS traffic, data traffic, tariffs, devices, fixed voice and data, fibre broadband and broadband wireless access, one row per quarter, indicator and operator (operator is 'All operators' for industry totals and components such as prepaid or on-net). Values are in the unit column: counts, minutes, messages, TB, GB per subscription, cedis, and penetration rates as fractions of the population (0.8954 = 89.54%); mobile tariffs before 2017 are in pesewas, as the workbook recorded them. Fixed, fibre and BWA series start in Q4 2023 (fixed-line minutes of use are not included because the dashboard's chart for them actually holds total traffic), device types in Q1 2023, operators appear only while they reported (Airtel and Tigo merged as AirtelTigo in Q4 2018, renamed AT in Q1 2023), most of Q2 2018 is missing, and the machine-to-machine series, hidden on NCA's own dashboard, has gaps that leave its total short in some quarters. Sourced from the National Communications Authority's statistical dashboard, published by the NCA (all rights reserved). 2680 records.
/api/data/mobile_number_prefixes
Which network each Ghana mobile number prefix (024, 054, 0256…) was allocated to, from the National Communications Authority's numbering plan and Ghana's numbering filing to the ITU. Numbers can be ported between networks, so a prefix shows the network a number started on. National numbers are nine digits after the leading 0; the country code is +233. 15 records.
/api/data/digital_address_codes
The region letters and district codes that begin every GhanaPostGPS digital address (GA-183-8164 is in Accra, Greater Accra), as Ghana Post lists them: 16 region letters and 261 district codes. Addresses issued before a district or region was split keep their original code. Names as Ghana Post gives them, with capitalisation tidied. 277 records.
/api/data/internet_performance_daily
What internet connections in Ghana actually delivered, day by day from 2020-01-01 to 2024-03-26: median, mean and quartile download and upload speed in megabits per second, round-trip latency in milliseconds, and how many speed tests each day's figures rest on. Measured by M-Lab from tests run by people in Ghana — not a subscription count and not an advertised rate. 1506 days are covered across that span: M-Lab publishes a day only when it has enough samples, so the gaps are the source's and are left as gaps rather than interpolated. M-Lab stopped publishing these daily country statistics on 28 March 2024, so this is a closed record: there is no later day to add. Sourced from Measurement Lab, public domain. 1506 records.
