/api/data/tertiary_programmes
Every programme the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission lists for the institutions in tertiary_institutions, as retrieved on 2026-09-26: 3778 programmes, one row per programme and award (for example BSc, MPhil, HND, Diploma), with the duration in years, GTEC's status and the programme's accreditation start and end dates (starts from 2018-09-01 to 2030-09-01). A programme whose accreditation has lapsed keeps whatever status GTEC gives it. 78 institutions list no programmes. Durations GTEC writes as something other than a number are kept in duration_as_published. GTEC's own lists repeat a few programmes word for word (37 institution, award, programme and start-date combinations); those repeats are kept as published. Sourced from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), published by GTEC (no licence stated). 3778 records.
/api/data/tertiary_institutions
Every tertiary institution the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission lists in its institutional categories, as retrieved on 2026-09-26: 318 institutions in 16 categories (traditional and technical universities, chartered and other private tertiary institutions, colleges of education, nursing and health training colleges, tutorial colleges and others), one row each, with the town GTEC gives, GTEC's status and the institution's accreditation start and end dates. Universities that accredit under their own charter usually have no dates, and those are empty. GTEC publishes no region, district or website for an institution, so none is given. gtec_institution_id links to tertiary_programmes. Sourced from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), published by GTEC (no licence stated). 318 records.
/api/data/senior_high_school_vacancies
The public senior high schools and technical institutes that still had places in the CSSPS placement round when the vacancies page was read on 2026-09-26: 693 schools, one row each, with the region, whether the school is for boys, girls or both, whether it offers boarding, the programmes that still had places and how many, and the places left by residence (day, boarding for boys, boarding for girls). Schools that were full are not listed, and programmes that were full are not named, so this is not a complete register of schools or of the programmes they offer; CSSPS gives no school code, district or category. The numbers change during placement and hold for the snapshot date only. Sourced from the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) of the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service, published on cssps.gov.gh. 693 records.
/api/data/schools_by_district

These are counts only; no individual school is published. A few schools with no level or sector are counted as not stated. Guan District (created 2023) has its own row with no district in the 260-district set. Sourced from the Ministry of Education, Ghana, Education Management Information System (EMIS); published by the Ministry, all rights reserved. 261 records.
