Over 1,000 farmers abandon farmlands in Upper East over broken irrigation canals
More than 1,000 farmers in Zaare, Nyariga, Yikene and Sumbrungu have abandoned their farmlands this season because silted and broken canals are not delivering water, raising food security concerns in the Upper East Region.
