An estimate, not SSNIT's figure. SSNIT works out your pension from its own record of your contributions and salaries.
A pension needs 180 months (15 years) of contributions, which earn a pension right of 37.5% of the average of your three best years' salaries. Each further 12 months adds 1.125%, up to 60%.
The full pension is paid from age 60. Retiring from 55 gives a reduced pension: SSNIT applies an early-age reduction it does not publish, so this estimate is for retiring at 60.
New pensioners get at least GH₵400.00 a month in 2026.
