Every public holiday in the year, on the day people actually have off, with a calendar file to add them to Google, Apple or Outlook calendars.
Commemorative days, not holidays: African Union Day (Monday 25 May); Republic Day and National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving (Wednesday 1 July).
Ghana's holidays are set by the Public Holidays Act, 2001 (Act 601), as amended in 2019 and 2025. The 2025 amendment made 1 July, Republic Day, a holiday again, added Shaqq Day after Eid al-Fitr, and moved Founders' Day back to 21 September.
The government announces each year's dates, including the Eid holidays, which follow the moon, and may move a holiday to a Friday or a Monday. The dates here are the days off as announced; a year appears once it has been.
